Testimonials
I know there is so much controversy between chiropractic and medical care, but if it were not for chiropractic I would still be in pain. A car accident left me with constant lower back pain. I tried everything from painkillers to preparing to have surgery. I heard stories from my friends who had surgery and to this day wish they never had it. So I decided to go to a chiropractor before the surgery and I am so thankful that I did. My back pains are gone and I am living my life to the fullest and pain free.

Becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic and serving mankind with non-invasive, holistic care isn’t a career for me, it is my calling… my life’s purpose. As a child growing up I had a deep feeling of finding my ‘ideal niche’ in life… “What am I supposed to do?”  Both my grandfathers were in the medical community; one a MD the other a DPM.  I often had thoughts of becoming a MD.  Through my passion for sports, weightlifting and athletics I also developed a keen interest in the function of the body and ways to optimize performance.  I grew up in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, where I was passionate about competitive swimming, playing hockey and football and played both Football and Rugby in college. It was after being injured in football that I first discovered the miraculous benefits of Chiropractic.  I injured my neck and shoulder during a game and was in misery for weeks with no improvement, though I had seen a Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, orthopedists and neurologists.  It was then that a teammate suggested that I see a chiropractor…I did and I noticed immediate relief and regained 100% strength and function within two weeks!  I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic - West in December 1992, with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. In the spring of 1993, I opened West Valley Chiropractic in Silicon Valley, with my wife Dr. Jennifer, where we practiced together until we moved to Laguna Niguel and opened our dream practice in 2010.My primary focus is Corrective, Wellness & Life Enhancement Care, and assisting athletes and weekend warriors increase their Sports Performance to the highest level.I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your unique, personal health goals; whether that is simply pain relief, corrective care or wellness and lifestyle optimization.

My plan after graduating from University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1980, was to go to medical school.  In the prerequisite classes, I met many who were on their way to Chiropractic College, as the classes required for entry were the same for both professions.

During that time, I had a close friend who was badly injured and in so much pain that he was unable to walk.  After being bed-ridden for three days, my new chiropractic friends convinced me to take him to see a Chiropractor.  Three of us to carried him in. He walked out an hour later!  The chiropractor explained that when a bone in the spine misaligns, it can cause distortion in the nervous system, resulting in both pain and loss of function.  I started to read everything I could about chiropractic and became a patient myself at Palmer Chiropractic College, not far from my home. During my own adjustments the following week, the chronic pain that I felt from old skiing injuries and car accidents began to dissipate.  As I continued to read, I became passionate about the amazing healing ability of the body and how misalignment and nerve pressure, even without pain present, can dramatically decrease a person’s health and vitality. To be able to help the body heal, without the use of drugs and surgery was something I never knew existed.  I knew that I had found my path, addressing the cause of dysfunction and dis-ease rather than the result (symptoms). Once I discovered Chiropractic, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, or serving in a capacity that I was more passionate about.

I graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in the Fall 1987 and was licensed early in 1988. I interned in Fremont for a short while before setting up my own practice in Los Gatos.  When my husband and I married we opened our joint clinic together in 1993, where we practiced for 17 years before relocating to Laguna Niguel in 2009, to open Waddell Wellness & Performance. We continued to run that clinic for another year while we were opening up our Wellenss Center, which we did in 2010.

My focus in practice is mainly on women’s issues, children, nutrition, adrenal support and anti-aging protocols.  Removing pressure from the nervous system is essential to reach whatever your own personal genetic potential is.  This important element needs to be supported by lifestyle choices that I am passionate about sharing with my patients.I look forward to meeting you and your family.
